Remember: Your friends can join you in these sessions, but nothing saves to your real GTA 5 account. All progress made in FSL mode is temporary and local only.

  • You need a mod menu with FSL to be able to join online sessions — Nenyooo download, Scooby download, Yim download, and more on the GTA V cheats page.
  • You can play with anyone while using the menu so long as you are both using a menu. 2 Nenyoo players, 1 Nenyoo and 1 Scooby player, or any other mod menu combination with BattlEye disabled. This applies to both Legacy and Enhanced editions. Only players that have BattlEye enabled will not be able to join and you will not be able to join them.
  • If your friend doesn't have a mod menu, get them to use the free version of Nenyooo menu.

FSL is a LOCAL SAVE tool. All it does is convert your online save profile into a local save — it is not some magic tool that lets you play public sessions. It may have worked like that before, a long time ago, but it was never the main reason for the tool and it will not be able to do it again.

Playing on Banned Accounts

  • Rockstar Banned: You can play in solo sessions only. Since FSL uses local save data, Rockstar's ban doesn't prevent you from loading into the game.
  • BattlEye Global Ban: You can still play with other FSL users, modders, and cheaters in their lobbies. As long as everyone has BattlEye disabled, you can join sessions together regardless of ban status.

FSL Cheat Code Input

Press ` (backtick key) to open the cheat code input. This lets you quickly add money and more.

Saves

FSL will attempt to download your actual online save file when no local saves are found. All subsequent save and load requests will be redirected to your local hard drive. This means that your save data isn't stored in Rockstar's servers anymore; you would use your actual online save when you disable FSL, and your local save when you enable it again.

All save data files are stored in %APPDATA%/FSL. While the tool creates backups regularly, you are strongly advised to maintain your own backups in a safe location. Be aware that everything inside %APPDATA% will be wiped during a Windows reset.

Settings

FSL now generates a configuration file at %APPDATA%\FSL when you load it for the first time. Edits to this file require a game restart to apply. Some settings might depend on others; for example, you can't enable GTA+ or use money cheat codes without enabling local saves first.

API (for developers)

FSL 2+ includes an API that allows other mods to interface with it easier. Current functions include (more will be added later):

To call these functions, you have to use GetModuleHandleA to find WINMM.dll, and then use GetProcAddress and cast the result to the proper function type.

How To Disable BattlEye

Follow these steps carefully to disable BattlEye and use FSL

  1. Make sure BattlEye is disabled in the Rockstar Games Launcher settings.
  2. Input the command -nobattleeye in commandline.txt located in your game directory (EPIC GAMES/STEAM etc.).
  3. Start the Command Prompt as Administrator and enter sc delete BEService to remove the BattlEye service completely.
  4. Let the game load to the main menu. Do not load story mode or online.
  5. If auto-loading into story or online mode is enabled, disable it in the game settings. After disabling auto-loading, restart the game.
  6. Once the game is at the main menu, inject N3NY000.
  7. IMPORTANT: AFTER THE DLL IS INJECTED SELECT TO GO TO STORY MODE FIRST.
  8. Once you are in story mode, open N3NY000, select Network > Session Starter and join a public or invite-only session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common issues and solutions for FSL users

I keep getting desynced from public sessions every five minutes

We currently do not have a BattlEye bypass, and legitimate hosts will eventually remove you due to a heartbeat failure. There is currently no way to stop this other than using an actual (private) bypass. RIPTIDE or Infamous have this, while N3NYOOO needs a recode before it can support BattlEye.

I removed FSL, and the money I added disappeared!

This is because FSL stores your online save data locally on your hard drive. Re-enable FSL to load your modded save again. If you don't want this, you can also use NENY000 without FSL.

I removed FSL and the game doesn't start up anymore

This is a known issue; delete Documents/GTAV Enhanced/Profiles to fix it. Make sure you have the latest FSL file.

Is this safe?

This should be (nearly) undetectable since your saves never reach Rockstar's servers. That doesn't stop them from trying to sig this tool, so it is recommended to load a menu with a working anti-cheat bypass whenever you go online.

Can I edit my saves?

There are no tools to edit save files yet. You can, however, use CodeWalker to view them.

Can I bypass my ban with this?

While previous versions of FSL allowed you to bypass bans and play online with cracked game copies, this is no longer possible. Clients now require a P2P certificate signed by Rockstar to attest game ownership and ban status. You might still be able to play in solo sessions if you're banned, but this has not been tested.

Can I share my save files with other people?

Yes.

How can I verify if FSL is loaded?

If FSL is loaded correctly, you will see (with FSL) next to the online version in the legals screen. If you do not see this, FSL might be outdated or not loaded correctly.

Can FSL be used on Linux?

Yes. FSL is supported on Linux as well, so you can use it when running GTA V through Proton/Wine.
