A different look for your Wii U Menu

Eight complete theme archives, original creator previews and ready console tools. These are native Wii U Menu themes. Even the Wii-inspired theme below changes the Wii U Menu; it does not change the separate vWii System Menu.

Load themes from the SD card

Start with AromaFollow the maintained Wii U Hacks Guide. Its current firmware baseline is 5.5.6U for North America and 5.5.5 for other regions. That setup coverage does not establish every theme’s compatibility.
Add both console toolsCopy themiify.wuhb to SD:/wiiu/apps/ and stylemiiu.wps to SD:/wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins/. Retain the complete Aroma environment/modules. Restart Aroma after adding the plugin.
Keep the complete theme archiveCopy the downloaded .utheme file to SD:/wiiu/themes/. Do not rename it to .pack or strip its music, text patches, previews or metadata. Back up your card first and leave space for the original archive, Menu cache and generated assets.
Install through ThemiifyLaunch Themiify from the Wii U Menu, open Local Themes and choose Install Local Themes. Select one archive. The Network tab can instead browse Themezer. Use Themiify’s integrity check if the original Menu files were previously modified; keep clean source files in its documented SD cache.
Select a theme and return to the MenuIn the Aroma plugin menu, press L + D-pad Down + SELECT, open StyleMiiU and choose the available theme. Returning to the Wii U Menu loads it. Begin with a single theme; keep shuffle and mashup disabled while checking compatibility.

WUHB is the launchable app. WPS is the Aroma plugin. These are console builds, separate from source code and desktop helpers.

StyleMiiU 0.5.3

Loads a selected theme from SD:/wiiu/themes/ without replacing Wii U system files. Keep Menu themes out of SDCafiine when this plugin handles them.

Requires: Aroma with Wii U Plugin System. WPS plugin; not a launchable WUHB/RPX. The release contains the plugin only; retain your complete current Aroma modules.

The title ID and visible firmware version are different from a Menu title revision. These theme sources do not publish per-theme numeric Menu revisions or a complete region test matrix. The archive details retain each BPS patch’s exact source size and CRC32; use matching original files and stop on a mismatch. Do not substitute another region’s files.

Existing SDCafiine setups

For an existing manually patched theme, the official SDCafiine Aroma plugin can redirect Menu assets from SD. It uses sdcafiine.wps, the WiiUPluginLoaderBackend module and ContentRedirectionModule in the Aroma modules folder. Use its full documented bundle/environment. A WMS is a module dependency, not an app to launch.

Return to the default Menu

Change the current themeIn StyleMiiU’s Available Themes, clear the selected theme to return to the original Wii U Menu. Disable shuffle and mashup so another theme is not selected automatically.
Remove an installed theme from SDPower off, open the SD card on your computer and move the recently installed theme folder out of SD:/wiiu/themes/. Preserve its original .utheme archive in your backup. This removes SD redirection; it does not repair earlier changes made to NAND by another method.
Use Aroma Safe Mode if neededHold L + Up + SELECT while booting Aroma. The Theme Café recovery guide uses this route to disable plugins, remove the problem theme through Themiify and then re-enable the plugins you need.
For SDCafiine themesKeep SDCafiine’s skip Preparing modpack screen option disabled; press X while that screen is shown to boot without the automatic modpack. You can also disable SDCafiine globally in the Aroma plugin configuration before reloading the Menu, or move that theme folder out of its region-specific Menu title directory while the console is off.
If Menu files were previously overwrittenUse Themiify’s integrity check and the Theme Café cache recovery instructions for your own original Menu files. This page’s SD-only setup is not a NAND restoration procedure.

Sources, credits & file checks

The gallery follows Themezer’s actual Wii U collection. Imported themes credit the original creator separately from the archive uploader. Every full .utheme ZIP and both console tools have a local backup with source, revision, byte count and SHA-256. All ZIP member CRCs and BPS patch checksums were checked; the WUHB and PowerPC WPS headers were inspected. No downloaded file was executed and no physical Wii U installation was tested.
