Eden NS2

Build from source · Source snapshot · checked 2 November 2026
Windows · source build

The requested Eden NS2 fork, presented as an experimental Nintendo Switch 2 research project with a Windows source-build route.

Source only · no packaged release on this exact repository at review.

Setup, requirements & compatibility
Requirements
No packaged release exists on this exact repository’s releases page at the check date. The README documents Windows MSYS2 MINGW64 builds. Its Linux instructions are explicitly untested; no macOS build or support was verified.
Set up
Use the exact repository’s README and dependency documentation if you intend to build it. The documented output is build/bin/eden.exe with the required MinGW/Qt runtime files. Supply your own extracted game dump, keys and firmware. The README recommends Vulkan, multi-core CPU and the 12 GB emulated-memory-layout setting; that setting is not a measurement of host RAM requirements.
Compatibility
Upstream lists selected Switch 2 games as playable or booting, with slowdown and graphics caveats. These are author-reported results, not tests performed by this site. Read the exact title, update and GPU notes in the repository before assuming compatibility.

Setup, requirements & compatibility
Requirements
A Vulkan-capable GPU and current graphics driver. macOS work lives in a separate repository and is not covered by these Windows/Linux assets.
Set up
Extract the complete release archive for your host. Use the GUI or the documented command line to open your own game’s eboot.bin. Keep game files and the release runtime together; this is a PC emulator, not a PS5 payload.
Compatibility
The project is developing CPU/GPU and platform infrastructure. Screenshots and selected-game results in its README are upstream claims; this site has not tested PS5 or PS4 games with it.

Setup, requirements & compatibility
Requirements
Use a host meeting the project’s CPU/GPU requirements and your own supported PS4 game dumps. Required firmware modules must come from your own PS4 and belong in shadPS4’s sys_modules folder. The pinned 0.21.0 README requires macOS 26.0 or later and excludes Intel Macs. For a GUI, use the separately released QtLauncher.
Set up
The checked 0.21.0 archives are SDL/CLI builds. Extract all files, configure the documented game directory and sys_modules, and use the CLI or the separately documented QtLauncher. A desktop ZIP is not a console PKG.
Compatibility
Check the exact game update and emulator version in the project’s compatibility tracker. Enhancements and patches can have their own prerequisites.

Setup, requirements & compatibility
Requirements
Use the hardware and rendering requirements in the official documentation. Play! uses its own HLE BIOS; an external PS2 BIOS is neither needed nor supported.
Set up
Choose the appropriate stable host build from the project’s download selector, install or extract it, add your own game dump and configure a controller. A lack of GitHub Releases on the source repository does not mean the official build selector is source-only.
Compatibility
It has a separate compatibility tracker from PCSX2. Check your title there rather than assuming the two emulators behave the same.

Setup, requirements & compatibility
Requirements
A compatible graphics driver and your own game dumps. The official Windows page requires the 64-bit Visual C++ v14 redistributable. Some Wii features need additional data from your own console.
Set up
Choose the latest release rather than a development snapshot when you want that release channel. Extract or install the complete package, add a game directory, configure emulated GameCube/Wii controls and test with default settings.
Compatibility

Setup, requirements & compatibility
Requirements
Requires an MCPX boot ROM, compatible flash BIOS and Xbox hard-disk image. These are separate from the emulator download. Match the project’s required-file documentation and use your own console data where needed.
Set up
Extract the host build and configure the required file paths in xemu’s settings. Add your supported disc image, map the controller and test a single title. Renaming an arbitrary ISO does not convert it to an Xbox disc image.
Compatibility
Use xemu’s compatibility reports for the exact title; reports depend on the tested version and host.

Requirements
Follow the project’s Windows runtime prerequisites. Linux uses Wine rather than a native Linux binary, and the README warns about instability. The README explicitly says macOS with Wine is not working.
Set up
Extract the complete Windows release and configure your own supported Xbox game dump. For Linux, follow the project’s Wine dependencies and known-version caveats; do not treat it as a normal native Linux package.

Set up your emulator

  1. Choose the exact host packageMatch Windows, macOS or Linux, CPU architecture and the app’s minimum OS. Experimental and source-build labels describe different routes.
  2. Keep the whole package togetherExtract ZIP/7z packages into their own folder. Follow the project’s runtime, driver and installation instructions. A console homebrew package cannot run as a desktop app.
  3. Configure required console filesSome emulators need your own BIOS, firmware, keys or system modules. Open the card’s requirements and official guide for exact formats and locations.
  4. Configure controls and savesMap a controller, choose a writable save location and test one game. Keep saves backed up before changing versions or switching forks.
  5. Use the compatibility trackerResults depend on the exact game update, emulator build and hardware. Source-only research entries are not a promise that a game will run.
