Version, requirements & SD path

PlatformNintendo Switch
Preserved build1.2.2
Install pathsdmc:/switch/ftpsrv.nro

The application build needs /config/ftpsrv/config.ini with a username/password or anon=1 before login works. A separate sysmodule variant exists upstream and is not this application.

These links preserve the verified version above. Check the linked release and your actual CFW/system version before installation.

Install & use ftpsrv

  1. Extract the complete bundleExtract the ZIP to the card root, keeping switch/ftpsrv.nro and config/ftpsrv/config.ini. This download is the foreground application, separate from the upstream sysmodule.
  2. Configure loginEdit the supplied config.ini using the project examples. Set a username/password or deliberately enable anon=1. Login will fail without the required configuration.
  3. Connect locallyOpen ftpsrv in hbmenu. Use an FTP client on the same trusted network with the address/port displayed by the app and your configured credentials.
  4. Finish before exitingTest a small transfer, wait for all writes to finish, then disconnect the client before exiting or removing the card.

Keep the complete file layout

sd:/switch/ftpsrv.nro
sd:/config/ftpsrv/config.ini [required login settings]

If something does not work

For rejected logins, check config.ini first. For connection failures, check the current address/port, local network and firewall. Installing the foreground application does not install a background sysmodule.

Project, images & file verification

Original ftpsrv icon embedded in its pinned Switch NRO. The original image bytes are retained with their source URL and checksum. Ready console files have matching local backup copies, with version, size and SHA-256 recorded. Original containers and older versions are preserved. No downloaded application was executed and physical-console operation was not tested.
