Legacy compatibility: PPSSPP’s official page currently says this Switch port does not work on the latest Switch OS. Use only an already compatible setup; no numeric firmware range is guessed. Atmosphère title redirection is required by the port documentation. Supply your own PSP game dumps.

Install & use PPSSPP Standalone

  1. Read the current-OS warning firstThe official PPSSPP page says this Switch port does not work on the latest Switch OS. This preserved store build is offered for an already compatible setup, without an invented numeric firmware range.
  2. Extract the complete bundleCopy the store ZIP contents to the microSD root, preserving sd:/switch/ppsspp/, its assets and its supplied configuration. A bare PPSSPP_GL.nro is not the complete package.
  3. Use title redirectionOpen hbmenu by holding R while starting an installed game, then launch PPSSPP_GL.nro. The bundled port instructions require this route and do not support NSP forwarders.
  4. Select your own PSP dumpUse the emulator’s browser to choose a supported game dump. Keep in-game saves and configuration backed up before changing the installed build.

Keep the complete file layout

Your PSP game dumps are separate.

If something does not work

If you are on the latest Switch OS, start with the publisher’s incompatibility warning. Recopying the same build or using a forwarder does not establish compatibility. Preserve your previous working setup.

Project, images & file verification

Ready console files have matching local backup copies, with version, size and SHA-256 recorded. Original containers and older versions are preserved. No downloaded application was executed and physical-console operation was not tested.
